Individuals doing field inspections for Nebraska Crop Improvement Association use an Android app called "NCIA Field" for recording inspection information and submitting it to NCIA. The app records information about each "inspection count", including off-types, weeds, diseases, etc. When an inspection count entry is created, the app records the location of the phone at that moment. The intention of obtaining this information was to be able to one day share the precise location of off-types, weeds, diseases, etc., with the producer (owner of the field) to help them make corrections to their field. This feature has never been developed, so no location information is being shared by NCIA.
